Chicken Sopas
Ingredients:
half a kilo of chicken cut in smaller portions
5 pieces of hotdog cut in about 2cm thick
2 cloves of garlic
1 onion sliced
1 carrot cut in julienne strips
1 cup of cabbage
1/4 cup of evaporated milk
half a kilo of macaroni noodles
1 liter of water
1 chicken bouillon cube
salt, pepper
Procedure:
In a casserole put some cookign oil. Sauté your garlic, onion and carrots. Add your chicken and continue mixing. Put the hotdog and cook for about two more minutes. Pour your water with the chicken bouillon cube dissolved in it. Cover and let it boil. After the first boil add your macaroni noodles and continue cooking for another ten minutes. Then add up your cabbage, milk, salt and pepper. Turn of the fire, the warm liquid will continue cooking the rest of the ingredients. You can also add some chicken liver and gizzards in this soup if you want.

Ito ang tunay na Sopas Pinoy, may hotdog na kasama. Nakaka-miss ang lasa!
Nakakasawa kasi ang pagkain dito sa US, kaya lulutuan ko ang aking asawa for the fist time EVER ng Chicken Sopas Pinoy Style!

add a little of cornstarch for a creamy look and taste, a few additional veggies such as brocolli for a more nutritious soup,and yes….no hotdog a way better (but hehe…kids love it..)taste is more enhanced if used with filled milk…….

mmm…..it really sounds very delicious to me.i bet my children will love it surely & the vegetables that been used in the soap will surely be very healthy for the body.i will give it a try with my children in this weekend & see how they take it.

I served this at our family’s Noche Buena last year and was a big hit!
I’ll be cooking this for our school’s fund-raising school event this weekend which highlights an international food fair! Tunay na Pinoy!

It is best to prepare chicken soup especially on dinner time.

add a stick of celery to enhance the flavour of the soup
and yes we do put a little bit of butter and milk…
